The much –awaited annual Eid Milan Party organized by PPW was held on the 21st of October, at the Dusit Thani Hotel. The full house event was attended by members, their children and other prominent members of the Pakistani community.
Dr Faisal Ikram, General Secretary of PAD (Pakistan Association Dubai) started the event with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran after which an Early Bird Lucky Draw was held to pick and encourage those from amongst the guests who know the value of time and turned up exactly at 7 pm sharp proving that punctuality at all functions / events is so very important and that it gets rewarded too!
The quiz session was conducted by ex PPW Chairman Mr. Iqbal Maladwala and Farooq Khan in which the guests showed a lot of interest and bagged prizes which included a flat 32 inch TV, several laptops, mobile phones, dinner vouchers, wall clocks, and innumerable goody bags, etc.
A magic show was organized especially for this “once in a year event” which is attended by children in large numbers. However, the adults too fully enjoyed it.
The quiz session was followed by a sumptuous dinner. The last eagerly awaited item at the event was a ladies favorite – the Tambola. There was a prize galore and almost everyone who attended went back with a smile – thanks to the generosity of the sponsors who made the Eid Milan a huge success with 5 hours of non-stop entertainment. Those who did not win a prize in the lucky draws, tombola or the quiz did not go back home disappointed either as a goodies bag was given to one and all courtesy IFFCO and Hemani at the exit.

PPW Chairman Mr. Irfan Malik thanked the members and guests who took time off and attended the party and said that it’s PPW’s endeavor to hold such events in which the Pakistani families living in Dubai can come together, enjoy together and interact and get to know each other better. He also informed the august gathering that an exciting line up of events is also on PPW’s radar for 2017.
Mr. Iqbal Maladwala, Vice Chairman PPW like always took charge of the stage and kept the audience enthralled with his humor and wit throughout the programme. Ex – Chairmen of PPW Mr Munir Mahmood and Mr Uzair Wasif also graced the occasion with their families.
This write – up would be incomplete without mentioning Mr Farooq Khan, Leader Symposia and Social Functions and his teammates (especially Mr Abrar) for ably organizing and the smooth running of the event continuously for five hours without a moment of boredom.
